Anti Burger Club Dinner #10: Collab with Chef Stephen Perez

On Monday, 3/25/24, Chefs Stephen Perez and Willet Feng will collaborate on the tenth Anti Burger Club dinner.

This dinner will feature itameshi, which is Italian food with Japanese touches.

We are also excited to offer several lesser-known Italian beers and wines that will pair well with the dishes. Japanese beers and sakes will also be available!

This dinner is not ticketed and there are no reservations. Food will be available for dine-in and takeout.

The eighth ABC dinner will be the first ABC dinner that won’t take place at burger-chan. It’ll be at Money Cat (2925 Richmond Ave, Suite 140, Houston, TX 77098 next to Levy Park), and will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 5pm until 10pm. This dinner will be a collaboration with Sherman Yeung, the chef-owner of Money Cat. They’ll present their takes on traditional Cantonese dishes.

The annual Night Market at Asia Society returns! Drawing inspiration from street markets commonly found in East and Southeast Asia, Asia Society Texas' all-ages festival celebrates Houston's AAPI communities through food, arts, and activities. New this year, enjoy the eats and treats of South Asia with Bollywood dance performances, a Diwali-inspired funfair, and more.

burger-chan will serve a special hambāgu (ハンバーグ) slider at the event.

Japanese-style meatloaf-y burger patty studded with onions, topped with sliced takuan pickles, shaved cabbage, and drizzled with scallion aioli and a housemade teriyaki sauce on a slider bun.

GOLFSTRØMMEN Guest Chef Dinner with Chef Willet: Singapore Seafood Feast

Chef Willet Feng will be the guest chef at Golfstrømmen, a sustainable seafood restaurant from Norwegian Chef Christopher Haatuft + James Beard Award-winning Chef Paul Qui located within the Post food hall in downtown Houston.

Chef Feng will create a tasting menu that highlights the flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine and the freshness of the quality seafood at Golfstrømmen.

Seatings are available for reservation for 6:00pm and 8:30pm.

burger-chan Cheeseburger Kolache Collab with Kolache Shoppe

In 2022, Kolache Shoppe asked us if we wanted to bring back the burger kolache for the month of September. We said yes, obvs.

This time we'll be offering the classic burger-chan burger in kolache form. The kolache filling contains 44 Farms ground beef cooked off in our umami glaze, and it's mixed with shredded cheddar and sauteed onions.

10% of all burger kolache sales will go towards Food is Love, and we're excited to start that back up again!
